Current MLS Listings for Ash Creek
Hanover County (Zone 36)
In the middle part of the 1990’s, the idx.richmondvamls.net/i/ corridor, located in the Atlee area of central Hanover, was largely refined by the addition of Ash Creek, a large neighborhood (by Hanover standards) developed by local developer Bob Atack. The development was designed around a central clubhouse, pool and tennis complex and green space with many cul-de-sacs to create a family friendly environment. Largely completed by the year 2000, Ash Creek became a very successful development with a healthy re-sale market.
Ash Creek is served by the well-respected central Hanover schools and is popular due to both the school system and its location near the interchange of both 95 and 295. The 95/295 Interchange puts Downtown, the Richmond International Airport and Short Pump/Glen Allen/Innsbrook all within 20-25 minutes. It also serves those that travel the State of Virginia well as it sits at the midpoint of the DC Metro and Tidewater region.
The homes of Ash Creek largely fit the Transitional/Colonial styles common during the period with open concepts floor plans, 2 car garages 4 or 5 bedrooms. Several streets within the subdivision were identified as more luxurious than others and the builders constructed larger homes with more upgrades along those stretches.
