Current MLS Listings for Chesdin Landing
Chesterfield County (Zone 52 & 54)
Chesdin Landing is located in deep Chesterfield County on Lake Chesdin. Lake Chesdin separates Chesterfield County from Dinwiddie County along Chesterfield’s southern border. The initial phases of the development were brought online in the early 2000’s.
Lake Chesdin not only has many spectacular homes along the water, it also has many others which border the Lake Chesdin Golf Course that winds throughout the community. The course is semi-private as it accepts public play but offers preferential treatment for members.
Many of the homes in Chesdin Landing can be considered stunning. A blend of upscale residential styles can be found in the neighborhood including the 15,000 SF mansion originally built by NFL Hall of Fame Quarterback, Jim Kelly. Chesdin Landing became a popular spot for many of Chesterfield’s most successful home builders and many of the homes along the water were built the builders for themselves. Additionally, the lot sizes are an acre or larger in most cases, giving wonderful spacing between the homes of the community.
Chesdin Landing’s biggest detraction is its relative remote location. The rural nature of southern Chesterfield means a 20-30 minute drive to most service amenities. Likewise, to most of the employment centers in either Richmond or Glen Allen, drive time is closer to 40 minutes, which is on the long end of the expected RVA commute. That said, access to homes on the water in the region is somewhat rare and thus the appeal of the neighborhood.
