Current MLS Listings for Woodland Pond
Chesterfield County (Zones 52 & 54)
Woodland Pond, located in south central Chesterfield County near the Courthouse Complex, was one of the first options to provide luxury housing to this area of the county en masse. The roots of Woodland Pond date back into the middle 1980’s with new home building substantially completed by 2020. Upscale colonial styled homes were initially the most commonplace within the neighborhood, but instances of more contemporary and transitional styled homes emerged as building styles changed. With any community whose homes span 4 decades, diversity in residential architecture is bound to exist.
Woodland Pond does provide waterfront options (as the name would suggest) and Chesterfield’s Pocahontas State Park is located across Nash Road making the neighborhood\'s somewhat long commute to Richmond’s economic centers worthwhile for those who choose to engage the great outdoors.
When Woodland Pond was originally developed, it was considered remote, but the rapid development of Chesterfield has brought Interstate (Route 288) and other amenities closer. Additionally, retail development along Route 10 and Route 360, along with several new schools and other commercial development nodes nearby has all helped balance Central Chesterfield and bring support to Woodland Pond as well as the other luxury neighborhoods nearby such as The Highlands and Chesdin Landing.
Ultimately, the strength of Woodland Pond is the relative affordability of luxury housing (compared to Western Henrico and NW Chesterfield), large lot sizes and proximity to both water and parks. With ever increasing development consistently bringing amenities closer, Woodland Pond is well positioned to provide a solid value its residents for many years.
