Current MLS Listings for Ginter Park
Richmond, VA (Zone 30)
One of Richmond's most spectacular neighborhoods, Ginter Park is a civic treasure with a diversity of architecture and design unique to Richmond.
Developed by Major Lewis Ginter (a wealthy industrialist) just after the turn of the century, Ginter Park is generally considered to be Richmond's first suburb. Designed to be both a living option and a country retreat for the residents of Richmond, Ginter Park was connected to the city by trolley and provided the first true alternative to the residential density of The Fan, Jackson Ward and Church Hill.
Some of Richmond's most truly spectacular housing is on full display in Ginter Park, especially along Seminary Avenue, and must be seen to be truly appreciated. The strategic location of Ginter Park and multiple access points allows its residents to access many areas of the city and Downtown as well as the interstate system quickly. Several quaint shopping nodes (Bellevue and MacArthur Avenues, specifically) help provide the neighborhood with several options for dining and basic retail.
